Run Ming’s partners, Mr. Wang Yadong, Mr. Liu Yi and Mr. Phillips Zhenyu Ding were invited and visited Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (“HKIAC”) on March 3, 2009, meeting and discussed with Mr. Gary Soo, the Secretary General of HKIAC, Mr. Liu Jing, the Deputy Secretary General, and Mr. Dennis Cai, the Assist Secretary General about the feasibility, current status and relevant practical problems in the course of submitting disputes between companies in and outside of the People’s Republic of China to HKIAC for arbitration.
Both Run Ming Law Office and HKIAC expressed the intention of cooperation with each other in order to promote HKIAC as an international arbitration centre among the Mainland enterprises and implement research programs in relation to the arbitration practices in both Mainland and Hong Kong.
HKIAC was established in 1985 to assist disputing parties to solve their disputes by arbitration and by other means of dispute resolution. It has been generously funded by the business community and by the Hong Kong Government but it is totally independent of both and it is financially self sufficient and is recognized as the leading international arbitration institution in Hong Kong. |
