Run Ming Law Office has advised Bank of Communications Finance Leasing Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of Communications) on the sale and leaseback of two Airbus A340 aircraft with China Eastern Airlines Corporation (a Shanghai and Hong Kong listed company), which is valued at RMB590 million (approximately US$87 million). The transaction aims at optimizing the airline’s fleet and raising new funds to improve China Eastern’s cash flow situation in light of the current economic environment. Beijing-based senior partner Liu Yi led the team from Run Ming. Run Ming also advised Bank of Communications Finance Leasing Co., Ltd. in the sale and leaseback of one B767 aircraft with Hainan Airlines last year.
