Two Aircraft Delivered under First Bonded Lease In China


 

Run Ming represented ICBC Financial Leasing Company Limited in the first tax-bonded aircraft lease of China. The lease, related to two Boeing 777F aircrafts, was entered into between an innovative Chinese SPC as the lessor and China Southern Airlines as the lessee. The aircrafts arrived at Baiyun International Airport on December 3, thus China Southern Airlines became the first airlines in China and one of the four airlines worldwide that operates this advanced model of cargo freighter. In this project, Run Ming, acting as leading counsel to ICBC Leasing and the SPC, provided a full range of legal services from transaction structuring, SPC setting-up, documents drafting and legal advice relating to customs, foreign exchange control, tax bonded, factoring, etc. The aircrafts were delivered within a bit over one month following the commencement of the project. In such a short time, the team of Run Ming, led by partner, Gavin Wang and consisting of associates NING Danfeng, FU Xiaoning and QUAN Wei, put in tremendous efforts and completed the project highly efficiently and successfully.
