Professional Experience
After graduating from Peking University, Mr.Qi worked at the Bureau of Policy and Regulations of the PRC, Ministry of Labour for 3 years and took part in drafting China's first Labour Law. He then worked successively at CVIC (China Venturetech Investment Corporation) Commercial Development Company, Beijing Office of American Bandag Corporation and Vantone Industrial Group. He became Assistant to the President of Vantone Industrial Group in 1998 and Vice General Manager of Shanghai Vantone Enterprise Holding Company in January 1999.
Mr.Qi began his law practice in July 1999, and worked at Shanghai All Bright Law Offices and another law office in Shanghai for several years. He worked as a Chinese lawyer at the Tokyo office of a Japanese legal service corporation in 2005.
Mr.Qi joined Junyi Law Office in early 2006 and became the resident partner of its Shanghai office in December 2006. In 2007, Yi Liu, together with his team from the former Junyi Law Office, merged with Runbo Law Firm. The name of the merged firm is Run Ming Law Office and Mr. Qi, as a member of Yi Liu's team, is now an executive partner.
Mr.Qi practices law mainly in the areas of foreign direct investment and labour law. He assists numerous Japanese multinational corporations in designing their investment plans and business schemes in China and handles legal matters from the establishment of enterprises with foreign investment to liquidation of enterprises. His clients come from a variety of industries, including power, food and drink, banking, electrical equipment, chemicals etc. He advises clients on legal issues with respect to the establishment of wholly foreign owned enterprises (WFOE), joint ventures and Sino-foreign co-operative enterprises and capital growth, merger, division, equity transaction and liquidation of enterprises with foreign investment. He takes part in the planning, document preparation, due diligence exercise, debt collection and import of duty free equipment etc. in respect of the above-mentioned projects, and consults or coordinates with relevant government authorities during the implementation of these projects.
Owing to his 3-year service in the Bureau of Policy and Regulations of the PRC Ministry of Labour, Mr.Qi has sound expertise in providing legal services regarding labour law. He has successfully settled many disputes with regard to personnel, remuneration, workforce reduction, dismissal of senior executives, employment contract, collective labour contract, trade unions and strikes for many foreign investment (particularly Japanese invested) enterprises. He has drafted and revised a large number of employment contracts and various management rules in accordance with state and local employment laws and regulations.

Education
Mr.Qi received his LL.B from Peking University in 1989 and LL.M from East China University of Political Science and Law in 2002.
In 2002, Mr.Qi worked as a trainee and Chinese lawyer at a Japanese legal services corporation in Osaka for six months.
