Professional Experience
In 2003, Ms. Lu joined Beijing Unitalen Attorneys At Law. Prior to Unitalen, she was a short-term intern with the Intellectual Property Division of Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court. In 2005, Ms. Lu joined Beijing Unitalen law firm as an associate. Then in June 2007, Ms. Lu joined Run Ming Law Office. She specializes in litigation, arbitration and intellectual property right.
Ms. Lu has assisted other lawyers or worked independently on several litigation and arbitration matters. She has provided legal services to clients in such industries as health care, health care equipment, electrical products,
clothing & furniture, cosmetics and franchise. Ms. Lu possesses expertise in IP litigation and investigation especially relating to trademark and trade dress dispute, unfair competition, copyright dispute, trade secret, domain name dispute etc. In handling the dispute resolution, Ms. Lu takes advantage of her familiarity with litigation and administrative proceedings relating to Intellectual Property matters, and provides flexible and integrated plans and strategies to her clients. In 2006, Ms. Lu represented the owner of the trademark "Gong Niu" (a well known brand for low-voltage electrical products) in a trademark infringement and unfair competition case against the owner of "Hui Niu", and won the first and second trials. Also in 2006, Ms. Lu represented a well-known Singaporean company to deal with a contract dispute; she made a great effort
to coordinate the two parties and successfully settled the dispute through mediation.
Ms. Lu also has wide-ranging experience in intellectual property administrative proceedings in China. She has handled over 400 matters including trademark applications, assignment and licensing of registered trademarks, trademark application renewals and modification of trademarks. She also handled more than 700 matters concerning registered trademarks including trademark objection, responses to trademark objection, review of rejected trademark application, review of trademark objection, responding to review of trademark objection, trademark related disputes, discovery of evidence in trademark related disputes, well-known trademark recognition, counterfeiting investigation, customs registration of intellectual property and copyright registration.
Ms. Lu has advised a significant number of domestic and foreign clients, including preparing intellectual property protection plans and strategies for enterprises, counselling on trademark search, monitoring and analysis, for her on rich experience in non-litigation and litigation practice. Ms. Lu has been recognized highly by her clients.
