Professional Experience Mr.Zhou practiced for nearly one year in the Japan department of Beijing Zhonglun Law Firm after returning from Japan. During his practice there he participated in the kinds of legal affairs Japanese enterprises may need when conducting business activities in China; industries such as banking, automotive sector, machinery, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, business consultation and financing lease. He advised on Chinese law matters regarding foreign enterprise establishment and change, overseas listing and exclusive technology/equipment importation, reviewed operating documents, drafted relevant legal opinions and made due diligence investigation. He also participated in the whole procedure for Japanese companies wishing to establish foreign investment enterprises in China, including pre-establishment consultation, investment negotiation, drafting relevant documents and negotiation with competent authorities. He joined Run Ming in December 2007.
Experience studying abroad and knowledge of both Chinese and Japanese laws enable Mr Yang to communicate with Japanese clients and draft documents in fluent Japanese. He can cooperate well with clients because he understands the doubts and concerns Japanese clients may have when faced with the difference between the Chinese and Japanese legal environments.
Education
Mr.Zhou graduated from Ji Lin University Law School in 2000 with an LL.B degree. In 2002 he went to study in Japan specializing in Japanese language for one year. Then in 2003, he studied in the legal research section of Waseda University majoring in international commercial arbitration and international IP with a thesis entitled "Search on Benchmark for Substantial Judgment in International Commercial Arbitration". In 2007, he graduated from Waseda University with a LL.M degree. |
