Professional Experience
In 2003, Ms. Feng gained an LL.M degree in intellectual property from Franklin Pierce Law Center. Prior to this, she practiced as a lawyer in China for 5 years. She also interned with Silverberg Goldman Bikoff, L.L.P. often dealing with IP related cases as well as researching many IP protection laws and related infringement cases. Following her return from the US in 2006, Ms. Feng worked as senior legal counsel in Sony BMG Music Entertainment International .Inc-a Chinese subsidiary of Sony BMG Music Entertainment International Inc-in charge of administering and protecting the company¡¯s IP rights. In 2007, Ms. Feng joined the Run Ming Law Office.
In the area of intellectual property, Ms. Feng has extensive experience in copyright protection of musical works, especially those on the internet, such as music licensing, copyright protection for recording companies, songwriting copyright, and song licensing between recording companies and authors or their Copyright Agents. She is well acquainted with all kinds of copyright licensing contracts used by recording companies, internet service providers and internet based Media. As a lawyer, she is careful in her research on IP related laws & regulations on internet dissemination, including the Regulation on Protection of Rights of Communication via the Information Network, and successful cases involving the protection of copyright on the internet and related supervision rules issued by the Ministry of Culture. Moreover, Ms. Feng is familiar with resolving IP related disputes; for example, she coordinated with the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry Coalition in settling the case involving four leading recording companies who sued Baidu and Yahoo.
Education
Ms. Feng graduated from Ji Lin University Law School with an LL.B degree in 1997. In 2003 she went to the United States to study intellectual property law at Franklin Pierce Law Center successfully graduating in 2004 with an LL.M degree in intellectual property. |
